Letter from the Secretary General of CANMUN 2024
Dear Prospective Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Staff,
It is with great excitement that I extend a warm welcome to all of you to the Canada Model United Nations (CANMUN)
conference, to be held in the beautiful city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As Secretary General, I am honored to be
leading this international conference and bringing together a diverse group of individuals from around the world to
engage in meaningful dialogue, foster a sense of community, and promote the ideals of diplomacy and cooperation.
To our delegates, CANMUN offers a unique opportunity to participate in a simulation of the United Nations and represent
a member state in discussions on some of the world's most pressing issues. You will have the opportunity to hone your
critical thinking, negotiation, and public speaking skills, while also gaining a deeper understanding of international
affairs and building lasting relationships with individuals from different cultures.
For our faculty advisors, I would like to thank you for your continued support and for the role you play in preparing
our delegates for the conference. I am confident that CANMUN will provide a valuable educational experience for your
students, and I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities for professional development that will be available
during the conference.
And to our secretariat and staff, I express my sincerest gratitude for your commitment to CANMUN. Your tireless efforts
and dedication to creating a dynamic and enriching experience for our delegates and advisors are greatly appreciated.
